Sexual wellness, reproductive health, and women’s health is too important to entrust to whatever random information you find floating around online. There’s a lot of bad information out there and that’s why you need advice from qualified providers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to help you make the best decisions. Read our FAQs below...
Q: What should I expect in a sexual wellness visit?
When you visit ZoomCare, you’ll be meeting with providers and specialists who can advise you on your specific scenario and health needs. Every visit is tailored to your needs and specific medical concern, but you can expect your provider will review your health history and run through a checklist of potential recommended labs, tests, and vaccinations based on your condition, age and lifestyle. Our providers follow the health screening guidelines outlined by the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF).
Q: What types of birth control pills do you offer?
We offer a variety of pill options including, Norethindrone-ethinyl estradiol, Desogestrel-ethinyl estradiol, Levonorgestrel-ethinyl estradiol, Norethindrone, Vestura equivalent, Ocella equivalent, and Tri-sprintec generic. Your ZoomCare Provider will work with you to find the best solution for you.
Q: What sexual wellness services does ZoomCare NOT offer?
ZoomCare offers a wide variety of sexual and reproductive health services, but we cannot conduct major surgeries like hysterectomies, cyst removal, or loop electrosurgical excision procedure (LEEP).
Q: Does ZoomCare treat minors?
It depends. ZoomCare's sexual reproductive health services are not intended for young children. Once a patient has started menstruating, they can take advantage of ZoomCare services.
Q: I need birth control. Where should I schedule?
All ZoomCare clinics offer birth control counseling and prescription management via our Primary Care service line. If you are interested in advanced birth control like an IUD placement, Nexplanon implant, or patch, you should schedule a visit with our Women's Health specialists
Q: Do you offer prenatal/maternity care?
Generally, no. Our Primary Care and Women's Health provider can assist with general family planning and pregnancy testing, but we do not offer standard prenatal care. If you have acute concerns related to a pregnancy and can't wait to get in with your OBGYN, you can schedule and Illness/Injury visit or Super Emergency Care visit.
Q: Are there referral requirements to make an appointment?
No! Referrals are not required to schedule a Primary Care or a Women's Health visit at ZoomCare. If needed, any of our providers can refer you to a specialist for your unique needs.
Q: Will my insurance cover my visit?
ZoomCare accepts most health insurance, including Medicare at select locations. We do not accept Medicaid. Most insurance plans cover one free well-woman exam each year. Contact your insurance provider to learn more about your coverage.
